What Diseases are there in
Third World Countries
Third World countries not immune to modern diseases By: Dr. Barry Sears Filed: 5/5/97
If you believe current dogma, then heart disease, cancer and strokes are strictly diseases of modern civilization and the
sedentary lifestyle of today’s couch potatoes. Politically correct statements, but unfortunately they don’t square
with the facts. For the first time, reliable figures are appearing that set the record straight. In a study commissioned by
the World Health Organization and published in Lancet last week, it was found that 50.2 million people died worldwide in 1990.
The leading cause of death? Heart disease, with more than 6.3 million deaths. But nearly 60 percent of those diseases came
from the Third World. Cancers came next with 6 million deaths (with more than 50 percent coming from Third World countries),
followed by stroke at 4.4 million with nearly 70 percent coming from the Third World. Heart disease, cancer, and stroke —
all diseases that are routinely only associated with industrialized countries. Yet these three diseases accounted for more
than 33 percent of all worldwide deaths with the vast majority coming from the Third World. It can’t be the sedentary
lifestyle in those in the under-developed countries that's causing such alarming mortality percentages. Maybe the massive
amount of grain that we routinely ship them to help their hunger could be part of the problem.
Kawashiorkor: Leading cause of death in juveniles in 3rd world countries, this is lack
of antioxidants in child's body. This is where radicals destroy healthy cells, Bottom line the kids are not getting enough
foods with this type antioxidants in it to stop this disease. This is a form of malnutrition there are 40 million children
with this disease, they get large sores on their bodies. Mostly in poor countries. Cholera: This kills more than 150,000
people each year, this is an acute intestinal infection by bacterium Vi brio cholera spread in commanded foods and water.
This causes severe diarrhea and does cause dehydration and death if not treated, can be treated with rehydrations. AIDS/HIV: 36.1
Million people are infected with HIV or AIDS!!! Around 34 million infections are in 3rd world countries. Sub-Saharan Africa
25.3 million South and South East Asia 5.8 million Latin Amercia & Caribbean 1.8 million Eastern Europe 700,000 Aids
is a disease that has GOTTEN out of CONTROL!!!! Especially in the less developed countries throughout the world..To many
people have been infected! Over 50 million and around 14 million have died from HIV. They say around the year 1950 this came
about from a chimpsanzee crossed over to hmans (not to sure about this one) in the African Congo and this has spread ever
since. Africa: 25.3 million people are living with this in Africa (Aids) every day! Aids kill more than 5,500 men women
and children. Botswana and Zimbabwe have the higest number of HIV infected people in the world. In these two places the
life span has dropped,From 68 years old to 40 years of life, from this disease. A child born now is more likely to die from
this disease more than any other disease. Malaria still clams almost as many lives as Aids. Latin Amercia: Liveing with
HIV?AIDS=1,600,000 Women age (15+) With HIV or Aids=510,000 Children living with HIV Aids=39,000 New HIV infections100,000 Aids
deaths=58,000 Around 1.2- 2.4 million adults and children are living with HIV or Aids in Latin Amercia100,000-420,000 got
this in the year 2005. Aids killed between 47,000-76,000 in the region in 2005 Bolivia, Peru, China and Argentina have
prevalance levels below 1 percent. Barzil the most populous country in South Asia and home to 1/3 of all HIV carriers has
a high level amoung drug users. Eastern Europe: Adults and children living with HIV 1.6 million Adults and children
who have died 55,000 Newly infected 150,000 Tobacco:: Money used for tabacco purchase causes malnutritions. Tobacco
cultivation and useing wood to flue-cure causes deforestations. Most developing countries have huge trade deficits in the
tabacco products, which drain their economies.
